For installation, service and repairs GR Heating provide a local solution for you.
Vaillant Mastertech Advance Installer
Vaillant have awarded GR Heating with a Mastertech Advance Installer rating because we have completed numerous training courses with Vaillant and shown to be competent with all the installations we have completed. We maintain a fully computerised system for all boiler records we both install and service, this allows reminders to be generated for servicing and in the event of any boiler issues we have all the details to hand if parts are required. Landlords certificates are easily re-sent in the event of new tenants or further copies are required.
How to repressurise your Vaillant Boiler
All systems lose pressure over time and that can be for many reasons, if you are re-pressurising your boiler frequently i.e. less than once every couple of months, then it will indicate that you may have a leak in the central heating circuit which if not visible needs to be found. At the same time, it could be a problem within the boiler and this needs to be checked out by an Engineer. Please view this helpful video on how to re-pressurise a Vaillant boiler.
Frequently Asked Questions
Vaillant are the largest boiler manufacturer in the world, they design their boilers in the most logical way allowing any one part to be removed on its own without the need to disturb other parts. We service boilers and we see the difference when 8 years or more and Vaillant always come out on top for reliability, and in the unlikely event of a breakdown the repair is normally carried out within 24 hours by the service team from Vaillant when under warranty and we aim to repair those outwit warranty in the same time or less.
Yes all boilers sold in the UK are of the condensing type which means they are normally in excess of 90% efficient.
Regular or Heat Only Boilers are just that they are the simplest type producing heat to be pumped independently to the radiators and hot water cylinder using a valve control system external to the boiler.
System Boiler is as above but has a circulating pump inside and an expansion vessel which is for a pressurised system.
Combination Boilers is as a system boiler but also heats your hot water directly from the mains supply and are the most complicated of all 3 types. They are generally higher Kw outputs due to the heating of the water requires a great deal of heat to produce a strong hot water output.
A magnetic filter prevents magnetite (a rusty sludge from the radiators) returning to the boiler clogging it up and reducing the efficiency. Most manufacturers now insist on one being fitted during installation and reward with extended warranties.
Condensate is produced by condensing boilers, it occurs when the flue gases have the heat extracted in a secondary chamber to increase the efficiency and means the flue gases that are expelled to the atmosphere are only 40-60 degrees and can be seen as a plume on most houses with new boilers. The condensate produced is acidic and needs to go to a drain by plastic pipe. If you have a septic tank then an inline filter requires to be fitted to neutralise this acidity.
